Learning a Christian Worldview
When the time came for their daughter, Hilary, to begin high school, David and AnneMarie Teply decided they wanted her to have the benefit of a Christian worldview that they knew she would not naturally find in a public school setting. Knowing several families whose children attended
Now, after nearly four years as Dayspring parents themselves, the Teplys especially enjoy the interesting opportunities to share with friends our national heritage, as presented through such events as Thanksgiving Exposed and the Patriot Celebration Dinner. David said, “These have proven to be wonderful ways to introduce others to Dayspring and celebrate it ourselves.” Being part of the community of families at DCA is also among the blessings the entire family has gained from Hilary’s attendance. “We also appreciate the sweet Christian atmosphere and the opportunities for corporate prayer on behalf of the school and its families,” said AnneMarie.

It’s Like a Family Here
Around the year 2000, when the Zazo family began looking for a Christian school for their soon-to-be kindergartner, they heard glowing reports from several close friends (also Dayspring families) about the commitment of the teachers, faculty, and staff. Then, they saw a video of students delivering their orations, and they knew it was something they wanted their children to be able to do. God made it apparent—
It has been several years since Abigail first started school, and now their son, Benjamin, is also at Dayspring. The family has no regrets about their choice! “Everyone was right about the faculty and staff. They are far more concerned about our family and not just about a ‘student in their classroom.’ Our children know their teachers before they even have them in class because the faculty reaches out to younger siblings and students who aren’t necessarily in their class. It’s like a family!” says
The Zazo's also appreciate the intense academic goals set for their children. “Much goes into setting goals for our children and having us, as parents, involved. It amazes us. The teachers genuinely care about our children’s learning.” The Zazo's especially like the emphasis on learning different languages, beginning at an early age. Christopher believes that with Dayspring’s standards of excellence and teaching approach, the school will someday graduate a high-ranking government official—maybe even the future President of the

They were longing for a loving, caring, Christ-centered environment where Jacqueline would thrive. Dayspring seemed to be the right place. Since coming to the school, Jacqueline has recaptured a joy in her heart that she had lost in the public school system. Here, she is being challenged academically, spiritually, and personally. Most importantly, Jacqueline is being cared for by teachers and staff in a very loving way. All of these things have made her want to do well in school, and not just for herself—for the Lord, too!
In closing, she adds, “I just want to say this to anyone who is on the fence about coming to DCA—it’s definitely worth making the move! Yes, it is a sacrifice, but the investment is worth it. We are so thankful for the environment, instruction, respect, and tenderness that goes into teaching all of the children here in God’s way. We feel like we’ve unearthed a jewel…others need to know about it!
