Fine & Performing Arts
A dramatic enhancement to the Dayspring experience is involvement in the Fine and Performing Arts program. Among the exceptional offerings are numerous choral and performance groups, private vocal and instrumental instruction, as well as the opportunity to participate in band and string ensembles. In addition, our Art Studio provides individualized instruction for the gifted art student. Many aspects of dramatic performance including script writing, set design and construction, costuming, and music composition are developed and conducted by Dayspring students. Inspiration for many dramas is drawn from classical works. Previous productions include several Shakespearean plays, Hugo’s Les Miserables, Dayspring student adaptations of C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia and the Anne of Green Gables series. Dayspring students participate in the ACSI Fine Arts Festival each year, attaining many excellent and superior classifications, as well as First Place and Best of Show.
